Ellie Works on Writing

My sister's birthday is coming up.  I am excited.  I do not know what I will get her.  But I know it will be great.  Her birthday is on Saturday.  For Anna's birthday I am writing a book for her.  She would probably like one.  She has lots of books.  It is called Anna and Ellie.  She is the guard and I am the princess.  She has a boyfriend too.

Sun Earth Moon Projects

We enjoyed choosing our own groups for a science project. 

These children chose to create a poster about what causes day and night.

These children wrote about how the Sun, Moon, and Earth feel.

These children created a Venn diagram comparing the Sun to the Moon.

These children wrote detailed facts about the Sun, Moon, and Earth.

Author's Purpose

Recently, we enjoyed looking for book covers to glue into our Author's Purpose foldables.  We found books that "persuade", books that "inform", and books that "entertain."  

Tyler Works on Writing

My pet eats meat for breakfast and lunch.  He is seven years old.  He steals my meat and whales are scared of him and got hurt.  (Hint:  Tyler's pet is a shark!)

Payton, Lily, Mariela, Ellie, Miyana, Kahlen, and Lesly are my friends.  They are the best.  Some of them are older than me.  They are fun.

If I go on television I would make westerns again.  My first would be called the Unknown Valley.  It will be about a town called Chesterfield and Indians in a valley they did not know about.  The Indians had captured a Chesterfield boy.  

Snowman Estimation

For "Fun Friday" on February 2, the children enjoyed estimating how many "snowballs" (marshmallows) would fit in each section of a snowman.  This activity covered 3 of our favorite things:  estimation, snowmen, and MARSHMALLOWS!  

28 Days of Kindness Challenge

The children of room 107 have been working to complete a 28 day "Kindness Challenge."  Each day we would focus on completing one act of kindness.  Look below to see what we did!  Even though we are done with our challenge, we hope to continue being kind to others everyday and everywhere!

Jagger Works on Writing

Yesterday was my dog's birthday.  Now he is one.  His birthday is on January 29.  His name is Blue.  We had cupcakes.   He is a good dog.  It was on Monday.
