Emma said, "Our poster said 'We have a dream'."

 

Weston said, "We made American flags to help us be patriotic."







Elijah said, "We wanted to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr."

 


Ty'Karius said, "We marched in a parade."

Map Testing is Over!

Parents:

We finished MAP testing today!  I was so proud of all the students in that they tried their best and were so patient while waiting for technology problems to be fixed.  Way to go, room 20!

 

 

 

Test results will help me determine the children's strengths and also weaknesses.  



Friday Fun!

Our good citizen of the week is Jay!  He is pictured with our first good citizen Trinity!

We took 3 tests today!  Everyone said they were easy.

We have our first real "tests" tomorrow!  There will be a sight word quiz, spelling test, and social studies quiz on Friday.  Don't stress...we will take it slowly!  Just be sure you and practicing and studying each night.

The students are excited about getting to contribute to our blog!  In a week or two they will actually be writing what they want me to post.  Currently, I am just having them dictate what to post.

Crystal said today, "We used iPads to practice our sight words."

We have had a great Tuesday!  We have new spelling homework tonight.  Be sure to look for your child's spelling homework notebook.

Savannah said, "We learned adding in math today."

 

 

Work on combining sets of objects at home!  Remind children that adding is joining together.  

 



Good Citizen of the Week

Good Citizen of the Week

Each week, a student who displays good behavior consistently receives the "Good Citizen" trophy.  This trophy will stay at that child's desk for one week until another "Good Citizen" is chosen.  What a special award!
